Bondi would be mostly tourists. I agree workwear is pretty casual here, especially in summer. For a bit more grunge fashion, you might try Newtown, Erskineville or Marrickville. Some guys with tattoos, but not a whole lot on their body. Few sleeves, very little color, and honestly not super creative.<br /> Very few women with tattoos, mostly small. Did see one woman with a grey scale full sleeve that extended from her shoulder blade, mostly cherry blossoms. Saw another woman with a partial sleeve, but that was about it.<br /> Many people are surprisingly still tanning.<br /> It was a Monday, so on the train back I got caught in the rush period. Business wear was simple, shortish skirts, simple tops or dresses and flats. Heavy on the black. Haven’t had too many forays into the city, but I have noticed a few things.<br /> One night I met up with former forum member Froggiebecky (I think that was her name here). We went out for dinner then drinks.<br /> Many of Asians, especially young, men &amp; women are wearing branded luxury designers. Lots of Gucci shoes (sneakers and flats) and accessories, a few Chanel bags. Don’t remember any Prada, must be passé. But even then the overall look was casual.<br /> Shorts were common among all women, some very short with heels. Lots of leggings, including some with matching tight cropped tops.<br /> That night it was more dressy, lots of jumpsuits. I packed a black sleeveless Madewell jumpsuit that worked well, except for being polyester. I didn’t account for the humidity. Bodycon dresses, way more heels than I expected, especially in Darlinghurst with the stone sidewalks. Not much color.<br /> At one cocktail bar, a group of twenty-something women were across from us. Heavy eye makeup with lots of highlights on cheek bones, and even the nose. One woman had heavy smoky eyes, plus red lipstick &amp; lots of highlighting.<br /> Hair was mostly straight. Almost no people with vivid hair color, so I stand out.<br /> One day I went to the Museum of Contemporary Art with my cousin &amp; saw an amazing photography exhibit of David Goldblatt. I even bought the exhibition catalog with was 2.5 kilos; packing for home is going to be interesting.<br /> Saw more than women wearing a cropped black sleeveless or strapless jumpsuits, and I was wearing mine too. One woman was wearing it with black patent heeled above ankle boots, it was pretty darn warm that day, so I was surprised. One woman had short baggy light olive shorts, with a patterned short sleeve t-shirt blouse and pink adidas sneakers. </p>
