Largely because they are just so practical, especially in the winter as nobody wants mucky salt-stained wet hems. I wore them with a velvet jacket and dressy looking beaded sweater.&nbsp; There were some dressy sweaters with jeans, some leggings with nice Christmassy tunics, etc.&nbsp; One that stood out was sparkley sneakers with pink fancy socks, a pink patterned sweater and white crops.&nbsp; there were a few wider leg pants, and some more like bootcuts, mostly black.&nbsp; I have concluded that wider legs, as opposed to skinnies, just look dressier.&nbsp; This is just my opinion, but I have concluded I will not wear skinnies when I want to look dressier.&nbsp; </p>
