Thanks for sharing. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/fashion-icons-at-sa-art-gallery#post-1420539 Wed, 07 Jan 2015 23:40:23 +0000 shipskitty 1420539@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Hi Ladies,</p> <p>If any of you are based in South Australia and haven't yet seen the "Fashion Icons" exhibition of garments from&nbsp;The Musee Des Arts Decoratifs (Paris)&nbsp;it is well worth a look between now and 15 Feb:<br />&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.artgallery.sa.gov.au/agsa/home/Exhibitions/NowShowing/Fashion_Icons.html">http://www.artgallery.sa.gov.a.....Icons.html</a></p> <p>I spent a couple of hours there yesterday afternoon and the combination of iconic clothes and film&nbsp;excepts from the corresponding fashion runway shows were fascinating and the chance to really see haute couture garments&nbsp;up close (they are not all behind glass - most are out on stands) to see the intricate workmanship was really eye opening. The garments are really amazing and span the late 1940's&nbsp;through to&nbsp;2014.</p> <p>I can't recommend it highly enough and am thinking of going back for another look and to take one of the guided tours to get some more insight into the history and design of the&nbsp;garments.</p> <p> </p>
