When I grew out my silver hair, it became even more important to wear cool-toned colors. I didn’t want to lose my wardrobe investment, so I dyed most of my cream and off white clothes to blue. Since then, I’ve also dyed garments to cover up stains and formerly optic white clothing that has slowly yellowed with wear and washing. I think the only real style change was to take a self belt for a strapless cotton dress and made it into straps for the dress. I have made many changes to items, especially if they were cheap. I have taken off embellishments (bows, etc), changed out buttons, hemmed of course, cropped sleeves. I recently took off 4 buttons that didn't button the two sleeves on a long-sleeved top. I have removed belt buckles that distracted from an overall look, and shortened a too-long pant hem.</p> <p>There was a time in the past when almost every inexpensive dress came with a cheap-looking buckled belt.
