My favorite past fashion eras are the 20s and 40s. I could immediately envision the dress 20s style, and I thought I could come up with a kind of 40s-inspired style for it.<br />Then, for fun, I added a look that reflects how I would wear the dress now, for a n evening out. I didn't do bags and coats, because that was just too much for me to take on. A little fashion challenge is one thing, building a rocket ship is another. </p> <p>Here are my attempts. <br />1-3: LBD, 20s style.<br />4-9: LBD, 40s style, using different shoes and accessories. I was going for the silhouette of the shoe and waist definition here; very unsure about whether the rest looks anything remotely like the 40s.<br />10-11: LBD, now-style. </p> 12-13: inspiration photos, 20s and 40s, respectively.</p> <p>Thanks for the fun challenge Angie! This challenge brightened my day, as I was feeling a little glum. <br />Thanks for looking, everyone. I welcome your thoughts. </p>
