I think I have learned in some exercise in the past that about 2.5" of length that should be in my legs are in my torso. So that makes all the difference in the blouse fit, even before one factors the shoulder width. </p> <p>Remember long time ago when I sent you a pair of COH bootcuts that were too small for me? I had them hemmed for 2" heels and you could barely wear them with flattest flats. My shirt is two sizes smaller and hangs quite a bit lower on me - both on the bust and on the hips (although the cut line does not go under the bust like an empire cut). So although we are the same height, I have a shorter body than you it seems. Well done! </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/fashion-era-challenge-70s-boho-blues#post-1469090 Mon, 06 Apr 2015 14:20:22 +0000 Tanya 1469090@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Here is the first of my fashion era challenge outfits.&nbsp; I am actually wearing this exact outfit today, minus the floppy straw hat (it would get very strange looks at work).<br />&nbsp;I am much more into 70s glam than boho, but do have this one boho top I like quite a lot so decided to build an outfit around it.&nbsp; The top was a gift from a dear friend, and it is a thin cotton peasant top, with floral and paisley design in shades of white an blue, and even has the little lacing at the neckline.&nbsp; I added faded flare jeans and stereotypical 70's pendant necklace.&nbsp; The accessories - skinny belt and bag are in the shades of cognac, while the shoes are more tan.&nbsp; I have had these wedge sandals for years and they always struck me as 70s - than again, lots of Frye shoes do.&nbsp; The final touch was a floppy striped straw hat in shades of navy and tan.<br />I plan to do a couple of more 70s outfits and some 50s, but this is probably the only one I am wearing out of the house, as it will rain like crazy for the rest of the week.&nbsp; I think I will keep wearing this 70s blouse this season, but will tone down the boho vibe with white skinnies.</p> <p>&nbsp; </p>
