If not, let it go. Some colors make me look ill, some are fine, and some I look energized. Same for different patterns, for example I look best in medium sized patterns. Big patterns are horrible, small are meh.</p> <p>I’d look at my life, how much time I spend doing different things, and figure out how many outfits I need in each category. How long will you be gone? How are you traveling? What type of luggage are you taking? What is the weather range? Will you have time to change between activities or will your outfit need to cover your entire day?</p> <p>If you pick separates try and have them work in several combinations. I’d pick 1-2 base colors, 1-2 accent colors. I do think it helpful to start with a persona. We once had an exercise here on YLF - who would you be in the zombie apocalypse? If things were stripped down to the basics and it was a free for all, what would you go for? Me - I wasn’t going to be the warrior princess. I’d be the Quirky Waif making chain mail out of soda can tabs and trying to container garden lol That’s honestly stuck.
