Sorry to hear this Deborah. I am pleased you had such a strong bond and relationship and the gift of time with her.

I lost my Mother in Law in December and it is an ongoing sadness to us all here although she was ready to go and we were at peace with it immediately.

Deb, I get it! I felt so much joy at my own mother's passing as she was ready to join my father who had passed 30 yrs before. When a life is well lived it truly is easy to feel joy for them.. Of course as it sinks in , the mourning will come so take good care of yourselves.

I know that she was important to you -- and you must have meant the world to her as well. Your love and respect for her radiated off the screen from thousands of miles away. Surely she felt that deep in her soul. What a gift you gave her.

Deborah, I've only just seen this. I understand how you feel. My father died in April and I was sad because I never got to spend as much time with him as I thought I would after moving to the Sunshine Coast late last year and of course I will miss him. However he had been saying for sometime that he was ready to go and as he had mild dementia I am glad he didn't suffer a long decline.

Its fantastic that you had such a great relationship with your MIL and although you will miss her, you will have the love and memories forever.

Warm regards, Carol

I am sorry for your loss Deborah. From some previous posts of yours I had understood that your mother in law was an amazing, loving woman. You and your family have been lucky to have her in your life. Hugs.
