If you were wearing bootcuts, AND they were PPL (just about grazing the ground) with your heels or wedges, then your legs would definitely look longer.

When you're in straight legs, heels and wedges do add some length if the shoe color extends the pant color.

I wondered about these (from your Lauren page) with a closed toe in navy. The little skin that would show above the vamp would not be a leg lengthening deal breaker for me. . .

Your outfit has a nice chic, summery vibe

I also agree with a low contrast shoe or boot. I like the idea of a heel if possible since you are after leg length.

You will look great! I would definitely look for a low contrast bootie if you can! Unless the weather would make that seem plain silly.

I guess I was just assuming that your heels being off the ground is what would elongate the legs, but I think I get it now. Thank you, ladies! I am going to try some heeled booties in a dark brown and see how they look.

This is a great plan! Love the column of navy, and I think booties are a great idea if you don't want the "dressy factor" of heels. Wedges are certainly on trend, and these would be good for Spring, but they wouldn't add to the length of your leg, due to the contrast in color.

IMO-- bootie, charcoal or navy and even black would probably do, I think finding a smart casual or casual bootie will be more important than the color, so long as it is low contrast to your jeans. Heel or wedge is more dependent on finding something that is comfortable for you, the surface you will be taking pics on, and which you'd be most likely to wear again.

If you already have a pair of tall boots in a color that would work, try the jeans and striped tee on with them. If you're going to go shopping, I'd stick with a bootie.

Thanks. I see what you're saying. Boots would be fine too. Like a bootie or a taller boot that goes over the jeans? Should they have a heel or wedge? And what color? Do you think charcoal would look ok?

For longer legs, go low-contrast (relative to the jeans), which I think is what you are aiming for.

The Lifestride Rhondas might work better than the stripes, or perhaps consider a shoe without a contrasting (jute) feature. I like the height, which isn't extreme. Would a dark boot work or are you going a bit more summer-y?

To make my legs look longer? We are doing family photos in a couple week and I'm trying to figure out what to wear. I have never done heels with jeans. While I like the look, it almost seems to dressy for my taste. (Though, I often wear heels with skirts and dresses). Because my thighs are wide, straight legs look more like skinnies on me, and my legs look pretty short in them when I'm wearing ballet flats (which I do most often). These are the jeans I ordered, and the jacket I will wear. I'm not sure about what shirt I will wear under the jacket. I'm thinking maybe a striped navy/natural long sleeve tee and roll the sleeves to show the stripes at the cuff.

Too much navy? I thought about doing white jeans, but after trying them on, I'm not sure I'm brave enough yet.

The jeans are in the mail, so I will have to reevaluate if the colors clash.

Anyway, shoes... I was thinking maybe something like this? http://www.zappos.com/lauren-r.....ral-silver (in the navy stripe, gray, or just a navy--the Lifestride one that you see underneath).

Any thoughts or ideas welcome. Thanks! (I have everyone else's outfits. Mine seems to be the most difficult to decide on).
