I’d never even heard of a Pashmina until I came here, but I do love scarves of all kinds. Unfortunately, I don’t think I can afford any of these, but a Pashmina is not on my wish list. I’ll admire them on you ladies who can afford them. As much as I love them, scarves in general are so expensive that I’ve considered making my own. They look very easy to sew, especially without fringe. Other than that, I will probably stick to fleece scarves that cost under $20 from places like Wal-Mart. I am drooling over the stuff on scotsweb. They have my family tartan in some things. I have a few that I’ve been wearing for years and I continue to wear every season. They cost a lot at the time but they were worth every penny and I still get complimented on them. They are a good neck-shortner – I have a giraffe like neck. Love the one you picked for me. I’d cut off the fringe and wear the cream. I also like the one by ronherman. I do not like the wording on this scarf, but I love the effect. That narrows it down a bit. The bloomies one and the Tessuti are two of my favourites, and I'm pining for a magnificent Kenzo scarf I saw in a boutique here (I can't seem to find Kenzo scarves anywhere online, so I can't show you - and I don't even know if it was cashmere or not, although the price tag would suggest that:-). Kenzo has a knack for combining several vibrant colours into a very stylish whole. Yum! During the last few weeks I've been bookmarking what I have found, and noticed today that I already have a long list of links, so I thought I'd share them with you. I'm not sure all of them qualify as 'pashminas'. For me, a pashmina is either 100% cashmere (which can be ridiculously expensive, hence the prices of some of the items below) or at least a blend of cashmere with silk or wool, and larger than a 'normal' scarf (I've been known to use them as a blanket on several occasions). But you'll find a few others here as well. There are scarves, wraps and shawls. I've discovered that there are a lot of plain pashminas out there, a number of 'jacquard' prints, a few animal prints, and a few chequered ones but not that many other (beautiful & original) prints or patterns. So my hunt is not over yet!
