Not sure if any of that is new this season, it all seems to be a few years in the making.</p> <p>Suntiger, I've seen quite a bit of mustard, amber, and rust this summer. FWIW, I think global politics IS affecting fashion and there will be some juxtoposition between old fashioned convention (figure flattery - hourglass, waist definition) when out and about (and at work) and hunkering down and cocooning (at home). Of course there will be cross pollination and we will see street style mix dressy with informal per usual. For specifics I think:</p> <p>-Soft, silky, and drapey trench coats (see pic 1)<br /> -Belted winter coats with big lapels (see pic 2)<br /> -Double breasted styles (2 sets of buttons down the front)<br /> -Trousers with fuller legs (and a continuation of the high waist) both cropped and to the ground<br /> -long fitted/tailored blazer jackets (menswear, checks and small plaids)<br /> -a modernized version of the 50's New Look silhouette for dresses and skirts outfits (nipped waist and fuller A line to below the knee (midi) skirt<br /> -Sabrina, slash, or boat neck necklines (less cleavage)<br /> -turtleneck sweaters<br /> -(millennial) pink), camel, cream/winter white<br /> -pointy toed footwear (shoes and boots)<br /> -sneakers, and particularly flat form or styles with some elevation<br /> -wide belts<br /> -longer natural hair with less layers</p> <p>I hope others will chime in with their opinions or observations. Especially if you think I'm off base.
