LaPed, I agree that the POMP shirts have a unique look about them.  I have three linen ones, and I often get asked where they are from.  I am probably going to order the rust one soon.  There are only two left in my size.   Bijou, the See by Chloe boots are perfect, but I suspect they wouldn't work for my feet.  :(  I am looking at a few options in a similar style. I suspect the Everlane jeans will be a slam dunk for you. The olive silk shirt sounds like a smart addition. I bet you’d get a lot of mileage out of the other tops you posted as well. FWIW, I have a POMP shirt in a nubby rust-colored linen and it’s such a heavy hitter for me in spring and fall. Great texture and drape. Their fabrics are so unique in person, which doesn’t always come across in the model photos. Jenni, I like the idea of a faux fur coat.  I was looking at one recently.  I have a brown one from 2000 that is still in good shape.  I need to bring it out. Helena, I have only ordered one thing from Boden.  I am not sure what it is like to return something.  I suspect it is not easy.  I read the reviews very carefully and look at the measurements.  Fortunately, Angie reviews several Boden items.  I would never order bottoms.  Maybe a skirt. Or a metallic knit vest layered over a shirt. OG, is right, I also layer a metallic mesh or open knit top over a long sleeve cotton top or other thermal underlayer. Or later it over a metallic layering top for double sparkle. A printed mesh top over a thermal underlayer looks pretty too. You could also get a more open knit (non-metallic) sweater or maybe a lace top and layer it over a metallic top for subtle sparkle. Or go full sparkle with a rhinestone layered over a long sleeve thermal or metallic top! Have you looked at Banana Republic lately? They have some silk shirts and blouses that might suit. Personally I ordered below find for a wedding and got many compliments and it’s really just due to it being my colour and the silk charmeuse fabric looking luxe as obviously the cut is quite simple. It allowed me to dress up some black culottes (from POMP) and accessories/jewelry to wedding level. My usual formula for nights out in Canadian winter when I will mostly be sitting is dresses over pants, which I find easier to style with my low heeled and often chunky footwear. What do I wear that is warm enough to go out to dinner in? I have ended up wearing same old, same old skivvy and knitwear and pants this year. But in the past I have sometimes managed a knit woollen dress with leggings and tall boots and a warm coat that I can remove in the restaurant. The tall boots are flat but quite dressy looking. And once this year I put the faux fur jacket over the skivvy/knitwear and wore my sparkly booties. My Style Words are Natural Earthy Minimalist, and my colour palette is Warm Autumn. 1/  Dress Jeans I am looking for a pair of high-rise, wide-legged jeans. These are for going to concerts, out to dinner and other special events. I have ordered the Everlane Mariner jeans in a dark wash. They may fit the bill. I want the dark denim Jesse Kamm Sailor Pants, but I am trying to find a substitute. 2/  Special Night Top Because my style is minimalistic, when we do go out, I rely on jewellery to dress up my outfit. I have some nice shirts for the warmer months, but I find when the weather gets cooler, my wardrobe is missing something. My sweaters seem too functional. I am looking for a top that works with jeans in my colour palette. I might go with a Cayenne colour button-up from Power of My People. Another option is a Rusty Red Cashmere Sweater from Everlane or an Olive raw silk blouse from Harly Jae. 3/  Blazer This has been on my wishlist for a few years.  4/  Footwear I hope to find brown ankle boots with my new jeans. Some of my ideas are in the Finds.  I am open to any ideas.
