All of mine have stretched out in th' bum considerably. The waist does not stretch at all though, so going down a size has not been an option for me. It might be even more of a problem if you're active around kids - you know, sitting on the floor, squatting, etc. I also had a brown pair that faded quite a bit after only one washing. I like J Crew cord skirt (and pants, too). I know it's more casual look, but the cut is very clean. Maybe playing around with different styles of denim skirts would work? I'm looking around for denim skirts that don't have jeans styling (like pockets, a zip fly) for something a little different but still casual. The Express site someone had favorites on today had some of those. In the past I've also liked Eddie Bauer twill pants, especially the Bremerton fit. They wash well for a season and come in different styles, lengths and colors. I'm feeling that I'm not getting as many outfit options out of my tops because my bottoms are mostly jeans (dark wash). I feel like I was able to get many different looks in the summer by switching between my white and dark denim clam diggers and wearing my denim and brown walk shorts. I know I have different styles of jeans (bootcut, straight, wide leg) but it's still the same top with jeans. I have a denim skirt to throw into the mix as well. My question is, what other bottoms should I look into to create some variety in my wardrobe? Colored denim?
