Speaking of ticks, I have already pulled two off of my dog, and stopped one from burrowing into my shin the other day as well (TMI?)! And we haven't even been in the woods! I have never seen them like this where I live, this early in the season. We just have the kitties for now. One of our late kitties got them really bad when he got out though. Tiny ones the vet had to get off. We suspect it's why he got anemia and only lived to about 12. I just tossed it in a bucket with hot water and dye, and was surprised it worked TBH. I've been refining my palette for many many years notsaf! I have a viscose top I’m thinking about dyeing but I’m worried about subjecting it to too much heat (viscose tends to shrink in a hot wash). But it looks like your skirt came out fine. I've always found spring dressing and shopping a challenge, since my colors are generally not in the shops. My "light" is going to be beige (aside from the hummingbird bag), and I'm liking olive a lot for spring. I'm very much gravitating to "canyon colors" too this year. I tried navy a few years ago, but it just makes the whole outfit look too cool toned. It's ok with neutrals but I don't like it with other colors on me. And so true re: mosquitos Angie :/ They're not out yet, but hope it's not like last year. I'd be happy to have another tick free year too! I wanted to buy a fire pit and or grill last year, but they sold out here except the really expensive ones. Adding lots of white and floral prints seems to work for spring. My spring dark neutral is navy and pastel colors usually work with it as does orange , mustard and olive. I still have very few brown pieces but think they work with pink, peach and pale blue. I overdyed the skirt with burgundy to warm up the color a bit. Trying to get some wears in before it gets hot! This color combo makes me happy :) #2 consignment find Talbots handknit top. #3 Kettlewell cowl blouse in chocolate. #4 Kettlewell short tie wrap in chocolate. This will be my brown jacket for the season. #5 Birkie Ibizas and new Nailpolish- ILNP "cabin fever". It's a decent dupe for my Pacifica "hustle" that seems to be discontintinued now. Fingernail nailpolish is ILNP "apricot cream". That'll be about it for my hot weather shopping this year.
