Now I want a pair too! I wear riding boots with dresses and skirts all the time. I know the black riding boots would be much easier to match with dresses and skirts due to black going well with everything but the redwood looks almost too gorgeous to pass up and I can still see it working well with a smaller range of coloured dresses. I think those Fryes would look great, especially as they are not wide at the ankle. Maybe you could look at Pinterest for looks similar to what you would wear. If they can be returned, get them and try them on with your dresses. (angie's blog post from a few days ago she was showcasing this color with grey, black, and navy).&nbsp;&nbsp;i can see them with a straight or cigarette leg pant. or a great wide leg trouser.&nbsp;<br />i really like the melissa boots as well. but its hard for me to say booties or tall boots, because i find them totally different. i quess you really need to think about which you think you'd end up wearing more.&nbsp;<br />now the field jacket, if you know you love it, and navy is a good color for your wardrobe, i'd say its a no brainer. At the NAS, I bought some really cute work appropriate peep toe booties, which my SIL swayed me into getting because they really make sense with my wardrobe...only I can't stop loving the Fryes.</p> <p>Next is the Downton Field Jacket in Navy.&nbsp; I have this jacket in Olive and love it so much.&nbsp; I came across it on sale today at JCrew for about half off.&nbsp; It's navy and would go with a lot of things, but do I <i>need</i> another?&nbsp; In my head, they go perfectly with the orphan boots, as well as the new navy wrap dress I just got today (but boots + dress do not work together!). </p> <p>In other possibility news, I would really love the Melissa Harness boots -- but could they work with skirts and dresses? They aren't sleek and sexy, but I like that about them.&nbsp; I have the Melissa Buttons in Cognac for sleek sexy flats.&nbsp; Should I get the Harness Boots instead of the booties, since I already know they can fit into the wardrobe? &nbsp; </p>
