Thank you all for your opinions, it seems that they got a green light.

Angie, they are certainly not my most favorite pants, but I do like them and they look very springy to me, so I am excited to give them a try. I think that they would work well with tops that are either very dark ( black, inky blue) or soft muted pastels that kind of look of to me with super dark jeans.

You definitely can get away with them. I think they'd work fine for a more casual outfit.

They look like they fit nicely and I can definitely see them hemmed for casual shoes.

I like them Tanya,
They are not as polished a look as I am used to seeing you in and they seem a bit looser but for casual wear, I think they are great!

Tanya, nothing is ever going to look bad on you, so it's kind of hard for me to say. I think you can pull it off. It's not my favorite look but it's far from unflattering. I think what is making me so ambivalent is that trouser jeans are supposed to be dressier, yet these are faded which makes them casual. I think they could work with Cons or some flat boots underneath though. I know you're considered curvy but you're still very thin so it's not as though you have any part of you that's big and beefy and needs minimizing, so if you're asking if they are unflattering, my response would be no.

It looks that spring might be finally coming here so I switched my closet from winter to spring. While doing so I found these Paige jeans that I have completely forgotten about. They are brand new and have not even been hemmed ( the photo is old, I have lost a few pounds since):

http://s300.photobucket.com/al.....CN2953.jpg

So, I am curious about two things. First, can these be characterized as the trendy new 'faded' wash Angie recently blogged about here:

http://youlookfab.com/2009/03/.....sed-times/

Second and more important, can I get away with them? Are they flattering enough? I mean, I know that no faded jeans are ever going to be as flattering as dark wash ones.

If you think I can get away with them, I would have them hemmed and probably also sew the slash front pockets shut ( they are trouser style).

Many thanks!
