I don't know where you are so don't have local suggestions, but there's likely some group making masks in your area. Maybe check if your local hospital system has a link on their website with info, or the local paper?

The quilting cotton is useful but elastic and other notions are the real thing that's limiting folks and groups at the moment. If you have narrow elastic (1/4" or less) there would definitely be someone who could use it.

Check FB or goggle for local mask making groups. We’ve been making and distributing masks for well over a month in my local burg. Fabric donations have helped us get over 20,000 mark. Some group would be extremely happy.

Do you have a local quilter club? They could make masks for kids

I have no suggestions! It's a lovely thought though. Maybe someone can make the blankets?

Hi fabbers!

I have multiple yards of quilters cotton in various kid prints that were used as photo backdrops. I don't have time to craft the fabric into anything, and hope to find someone who needs it...

I had reached out to Project Linus to see if they wanted it to make blankets, and they are only taking finished blankets in my area.

Does anyone know of an organization that is looking for fabric for masks or scrubs or anything? I've reached out locally via nextdoor, and had no response.
