I think these could be fab if worn correctly. I've gone through enough baggy pant mistakes to veer away without trying on and getting approval here (of which the slouchy jeans are the first to do so!).

Shannon: I have dark denim skinnies, but I liked the straight fit of these Bandolinoblu red jeans that can be found at Macy's. The style is called "Mandie," and they feature a mid-rise, and 31 inch inseam with a straight leg. They are fairly generous in fit, and do "give" without "bagging." I don't think they have many colors, however, beyond red, gray, blue and black.

Good Luck!

Love the color but I would prefer a bootcut! I already have khakis with the side pockets and I don't think they are the most attractive for those of us who have hips. I would love some colored bootcuts though. It wouldn't hurt to try those. Maybe they would look great.

No, sorry if I was confusing; these are from Mango, via Amazon, purchased last spring I think. But I think you could rock the Gap ones :)! (maybe I'm in the minority in my love for colorful chinos....I even like them baggy and rolled up BF style, but don't tell anyone...)

I hear y'all and I think you're right - bootcut denim in a bright colour would be better for me. Now off to peruse the web and see who has what...thanks!

I think a bootcut or boyfriend jean would work better, but the proof is in the fit, I guess. I just think that a jean would have more heft, be more forgiving, and probably have a better cut. My pants search has shown me that brands are not paying great attention to the cuts of their pants.

I think it really depends on the fit of the pant. I'm not convinced that baggier means more flattering or easy to fit well. I think it's definitely worth trying on!

the bottom needs to be tapered just right ( ? alteration needed) and you need nude heels. with that it could work.

I vote yes - a great alternative to ultra tight skinnies. And the colour is, like, ALL THE RAGE!

Hmm... I'm not convinced but I admit that I have a poisoned eye for khakis (even colored ones). I particularly dislike the pockets (both front and back) on these.

What about colored boot cuts or straight leg jeans?

I love the look of coloured skinnies but just not comfortable with the idea of that much "tightness" so thought these could be an alternative. I would not wear them rolled up since I'm short - would hem them to appropriate PPL. What do you think?
