I am a big fan of Citizens. I have 2 pairs. I always thought dark wash was the way to go because it was dressier for work. Of course there is always black denim.

I think whether you go with skinnies, bootcut, straight, flares, etc. depends on your body type and life style. I don't wear heels very much so bootcut and flares are low on the list for me.

Agree - dark wash and maybe a slim straight is the best for dressy? Or a looser-fitting skinny (i.e., slouchy skinny but not too slouchy)?

If the slim cut Jag jeans are your favorite, then how about a similar style in dark blue but a size smaller?

Bootcuts can be dressy with heels, but I find I don't wear heels as much any more, so I prefer a dark wash looser-fitting skinny for my date nights
with DH. This lets me wear heels, or lower-heeled boots, or even flats. Very versatile!

Here's an example of the silhouette I like for dressy jeans. I size up to avoid any sausage casing issues.

You're on track with the dark wash jeans. I'd imagine a classic-to-you silhouette is your best bet - which style of denim do you wear most/find most versatile?

I would like a really amazing pair that is "dressy" so I imagine dark wash?
I own:
JCrew BF jeans.
BR full leg
Gap bootcut in faded wash
Slim cut Jag jeans in blue- My comfort favorites but they feel "large"
White skinnies- Loft?
Denizen pull on skinnies

What do the experts think would serve me best? Since fashion is going more fluid, I am hesitant to invest in skinny jeans. But I am open to all suggestions!
Thanks, Fabbers!
