So I must be used to the feel by now. That’s what prompted me to go frame-shopping this year instead of sticking with my current style. </p> <p>You’re also right that I haven’t tried any rounder frames. I’m open to the idea, but (again) due to my prescription, I prefer plastic frames to better hide the thickness of my lenses, and to extend the width of the frame without extending the width of the lense (the wider the lense, the thicker it will be on the sides, if you’re nearsighted).</p> <p>Thanks to the wonders of high-index technology, I can have normal-looking glasses IF I follow a bunch of rules about picking my frame. The conundrum is that I don't think any of them look as nice as my current glasses, which I love so much that I own them in two colors... but the current style tends to slip down my nose when it gets sweaty, which is not a great characteristic for figure skating.</p> <p>So here are the top two contenders from my visit to the Asian-fit specialty optometrist today. I have a very flat nose bridge and a wide-ish face, and these two fit the best in the store... are either of them stylish enough, compared to my current glasses, to serve as my everyday replacement? Or should I keep looking?</p> <p>(My prescription has changed slightly so I can't keep wearing my current glasses unless I replace the lenses.) </p>
