Shannon-
I just bought a Revlon Colorstay Brow Enhancer that I really love. One end is a tinted wax crayon (which I like better than powders or pencils) and the other end is a highlighter for under the arch and in your tear ducts.
I am considering fake lashes. My yoga instructor just started using fake ones, and she loves them.

Thanks for the help everybody!

I went out and bought an eyebrow crayon. I like it, but not as much as the Anastasia powder. They had a color that was perfect. I tried it before you even mentioned it Angie and you are right it is great stuff. I just thought that I would see if there is something a little less expensive that works well before I jump right into the pricey stuff. Might try a drugstore brand powder before I make my final decision.

I bought some false eyelashes today also. I have the individuals in brown that I wore today. They look nice, but not super dramatic. I'll need something that stands out more for evening. I don't wear black makeup though so I don't know what to do. Does anybody put mascara on their falsies? I'm about to go try to get them off. I'm a little nervous about it.

Angie, I believe I must have eyeshadow issues for the same reason you do. I have big eyes, a big nose and a small mouth. Having eyeshadow on just makes my eyes look too big. That must be it! I never really knew what bugged me so much. I love the look of dark eyeliner and eyelashes, but with a nice neutral lid. Maybe now I can stop trying to make it work for me. Thanks!

I wear brown Mac eyeshadow on my eyebrows. I used to use eyebrow pencil and then my eyebrow threader noticed that I had some "bald" patches on my eyebrows and asked if I was using pencil... I guess somehow the pencil was plucking my brows? That was her hypothesis anyway. But I stopped using pencil and have been using eyeshadow ever since. I apply it with a Stila eyebrow brush and I love the result. I feel like it looks more natural on me... it's lighter and I can fill in areas as needed.

As for my eyes... I always wear eyeshadow but I tend to stick with neutral shimmery colors. Sometimes I use purple or another color to make my grey eyes pop. I also wear charcoal eyeliner and black mascara. I have never attempted fake eyelashes but I LOVE Yves St Laurent False Eyelash Effect mascara. You can get it at Sephora or the Yves St Laurent counter. It is magical. Or, for drug store mascara, I really like that pink/green tube.

I used to use only expensive makeup but now I've been forced to buy some drug store products... honestly, they work just as well! My mom bought me a stash of the Yves St Laurent mascara for my birthday last year so I still have that, but otherwise I've been turning to the cheaper stuff. It works! My Mac eyeshadow that I use for my brows lasts forever though, so I don't mind spending money on that. A small jar will last a long long time.

Shannon, I prefer eye-brow pencil (not the powder). Get Anastasia. They are the best brand when it comes to this type of thing in my not so humble opinion.

I think eye shadow works for some people but it tends to Iook ridiculous on me. My facial features are big (eyes, eye lashes, eye-brows, cheek bones, nose and mouth), but my face is small, so eye shadow and other types of additional make-up make me look like a clown. Marianna does a good job with her eye make-up, though. Perhaps she’ll chime in?

Get yourself to a MAC counter for a free eye make-up session!

I have worn plenty of fake eyelashes through the years. I've always bought cheap ones from the drug stores; I've chosen the individual little clusters in the shorter length because they look most natural. I use lash glue and just attach one or two clumps to the lash line at the outer corner of my eyes. They pack a real punch and look great.

My brows are quite sandy colour and get lost against my pale, freckly skin so I get them dyed at the beauty salon. Usually, they're pretty darn dark for the first few days but then look great for about a month. Not to say you have to do this, but it's something that works for me. Before I started dying them, I'd use both a pencil and powder on my brows: pencil for giving overall shape and powder to "fill them in."

Good luck and be sure to take some before and after photos for us : )

I don't wear falsies, but not because I don't like them. If I have a dressy holiday function to attend this year, I may give them a whirl.
I have colored in my brows for a long time now. I change the hues slightly as I change my hair color.
At first I used a MAC eyeshadow and an eyebrow brush, but the look wasn't as defined as I wanted. So now I use a pencil and dash in the color. I follow with the eyebrow brush to remove any harsh lines.
Believe it or not, I use an Almay eye liner
http://www.almay.com/Pg/Main/C.....ubnm=Liner
in Raisin Quartz. The darkest shade of my hair is a very cool red brown, and this shade of liner really makes my eyes pop.

I have never worn fake eyelashes or colored in my eyebrows. Lately I feel like I need to enhance my eyes more, but I hate colored eyeshadow. I do use a skin toned color on my lids along with a liner and mascara. Anybody use fake eyelashes? What works for you? Do I need to buy expensive or will cheap do? What about the eyebrows? Pencil or powder? Thanks!
