It was only 3.5X. Doh! Off to research magnifying mirrors on Amazon. Turns out 10X magnification tends to be too strong for a lot of folks and I read many, many complaints about distortion and blurriness. I was concerned that 5X would be insufficient magnification, so I settled on 7X. I feel like Goldilocks! DH just installed my new mirror. But I didn't realize my close vision would become so bad that I can't even eat without readers. I usually wear eyeliner and would like to experiment with mascara, but my eyes are a complete blur! My cheap CVS readers that I bought to tide me over until I get Rx specs next month are only 2.0, so I know my far sightedness is not the worst.</p> <p>What do other far sighted people do (I will take advice from any gender) to apply eye makeup? </p>
