Hmm, last several mascaras I've used all washed off with gentle face cleanser (Cetaphil). I'm currently using MAC Studio Fix Lash and I don't need makeup remover.

I prefer not to tug at my eye area, so I don't go for pads. A lot of makeup removers leave something in my eyes, and I also prefer a cleanser that removes everything at once (not that I wear a lot of makeup). I've had good results with MAC Cleanse Off Oil. Yes, it's oil based, and it's essential you use it on dry skin, but it doesn't clog and irritate me, and dissolves all makeup and waterproof sunscreen, etc. At least in my case. Plus it saves time because you can use it on everything at once.

Also look into oil cleansers like Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm (pretty good) or Shu Eemura cleansing oils (the latter are very pricey and I haven't tried them, but they get good reviews). I know, cleansing oil sounds scary and counter intuitive, but when used correctly, it can really help (even with oily skin).

I use philosophy purity made simple. I like a make-up remover that gets rid of all make-up at one time, not just mascara.

Good point, Julie. I guess most people do alot of tugging when they remove their eye-make which is the issue.

Regarding Shana's comment, I have this tip. Soak you pad with remover and place over your eyes for a few seconds, then with one swipe remove the makeup, this lets the product rather than the action do the work.

I used to use the Lancome Bifacil but read an article once about how constant tugging on the eyes & in the delicate eye area to remove mascara/eye makeup is actually harmful (and can cause wrinkles! yikes!). Now I just use my regular cleanser.

BA, Sephora has tons of "tube" mascara - the Blinc Kiss Me is very popular.

Not sure what a tube mascara is. Does it say so on the packaging? What brands do you suggest?

The reason I was looking for pads is because I can be very lazy about these things. The added step of using a cotton can be at times enough to deter me from removing eye make up. I know, it's bad.

I wear eyeliner and mascara daily and I have to echo what lynne and Marley said. Lancome Bifacil is non-irritating and gentle but ruthless at getting the makeup off.

On a side note, I got tired of traditional mascara and how tiresome it is to remove, and switched to the 'tube' kind. It goes on great, doesn't run if I cry, and just rinses of with warm water in the shower. Might be worth a try..

It's not in pad form but I love Kiehls, a little goes a long way. My neice who is in cosmetic industry recommended this to me. I recently tried Sephora's when I ran out of Kiehls, I regret that decision because Seph's was a disappointment: http://www.kiehls.com/Supremel.....lt,pd.html

I like Almay eye makup remover pads. I prefer the oil-free ones. I could probably use the moisture of the oil ones, but they left a film in my eyes that ended up coating my contacts the next morning!

If you like to spend alot ;-), there was a great Dermalogica one that dissolves mascara. It might have been their Precleanser product. . .

Sorry for the off topic but I need some advice on eye make up remover pads. I've been using Ponds cleansing pads to remove make up but it does a horrible job on mascara. I can keep wiping and wiping but it never comes off. Then I splash water on my face and I have racoon eyes.

Anyone know a good eye make up remover pad? One that I don't have to rub and rub and rub. I don't want to pull on my skin like that.
