Unfortunately I found some information that the preservative used is a known carcinogen, so I cut way back on my use of it; the medication in it is safe, but they used a cheap preservative that shouldn't be used long term.&nbsp; I'm going to try a warm lavender compress and see if that helps my dry eyes. Mine are dry due to a combination of weather, screens, and daily contact lenses. Seems like they are always dry and red! So that is great, treatment is clearing yours up!&nbsp;<br />With or without makeup, its nice to have clear eyes.&nbsp;<br />Jorja, yes, some good reviews on that product! After a bit of back and forth and experimentation, I have determined that the cause of my eyelid problems is probably not an allergy after all, or not an allergy, strictly speaking, but exactly what you describe -- blocked oil ducts. I have suffered from it once before, but it was about a decade ago and I had forgotten. Anyway, I stopped using the too rich moisturizer that I thought would help and that was contributing to the problem, and have been using warm compresses, drops, and eyelid cleaning several times a day, and it is much, much better. I've also been doing what UmmLila suggests with the lavender eye mask. Getting better by the day. PHEW.&nbsp;</p> <p>That gadget looks really interesting.
