Having the sleeves shortened may not be an option. I've been sewing since I was little (grew up with a seamstress mother!) and I would never attempt it. How do you clean it - washing or dry cleaning? Hand washing and air drying might shrink up the overall fit and help the sleeve length. It will stretch out again, though.

I love long sleeves, and I think the sweater looks great! Both the looks with and without the jacket are really nice.

I think that the length of the sleeves matches the overall tone of the sweater, which is oversized. They are long but not overly long, IMO. I say wear it with confidence! :^)

I love this sweater, it's super soft cashmere, bought years ago on a vacation but I rarely wear it because the sleeves are so long. Like, not trendy long sleeves but orangutan long, and it's not my best color. But it's like wearing a hug and it makes me remember a wonderful vacation, so it lives on in my closet and comes out to play once in a while. I've even considered having the sleeves shortened but I'm not sure if that's a good idea with a knit.

And the upside? Built in mittens!

Comments and suggestions welcome! Please be honest, I can take it!
