I just ordered a scarf that is different than my shirt & am hoping they will give the right effect. Plaid is funny because i can't judge entirely by pictures; I'll have to see them together IRL to know. Must be all the secondary colors that result from the weaves? This was after a long walk so please excuse the wind blown hair. Mona, you are right, the plaids are about the same colors. The shirt has a bit of blue that doesn't show up as bright as it looks in the photo. The plaid of the sweatshirt is slightly smaller. The shirt has chambray under cuffs and collar. The shirt is very soft. I also meant to semituck it or could even do a full tuck to get rid of the tails. One thing that I like about this shirt is that the back is longer than the front. That is all there is to it!!  I love your experiment.  If you press the shirt again or fiddle with it a bit will it hang a bit better at the bottom?  This is one of my problems with wearing a shirt to show beneath a welted top. It was chilly this morning so a popped a plaid shirt under a plaid sweatshirt. Too much? Sweatshirt: Target Shirt: Cosco Jeans: H&M Shoes: Cons that should be replaced. I'm wearing this for home chores and dog walking...if you think that it can be worn in public. Thoughts and suggestions appreciated. This is a very low budget outfit and I can donate some or all of it if you think that best. The shirt is quite oversized.
