They fit well through the arch and foot, very comfortable foot bed, but the non adjustable toe strap is too loose. They were just a bit long, so I might have tried a size down which would be a 6.5, but Zappos was sold out of that size and the style turned out to be a little more casual than I was hoping for so I'm not going to search for it at other sites.&nbsp; To be honest I was also not thrilled at the idea of spending this much ($230 US) on a pair of shoes that would not get worn a lot. This brand will definitely be on my radar in the future! I tried on a pair of L'Amour des Pieds at a shoe store once and they did NOT work, the usual too-tall problem. However, I find that even if a brand runs a particular way, sometimes you can make specific styles work... The style I’ve got was open toe sorta Mary Jane look - did not love it on my feet ( it was for interview and beginning of my work at more dressy place ). Medium volume I would describe it. Size 8,5 and now sitting in my closet without any action ;( .<br /> Some of shoes from that brand are really not padded much ( I think that’s the case for the pair in the picture). I was able to find transparent cushioning insoles with adhesive backs that I put on my flip-flops. Then I put thick moleskin on the straps that go across my feet. They weren’t rubbing, but being loose meant my feet were sliding too far forward. The result might not be pretty if you put shoes on a shelf, but because the insoles don’t go all the way to the edge of the shoes, they are not visible when I actually wear them. To me, that’s the point. I have regular width feet, with very low volume. Narrow width shoes usually do NOT work. Most of the time, when the length is right, I need the ball-of-foot strap to be adjustable so I can snug it up,&nbsp; otherwise the sandal is too loose. I also need a very thick padded sole. With closed shoes I often add insoles to get that padding to a good level, but with sandals that's usually not possible.&nbsp;</p> <p>I've been looking at sandals by L'Amour Des Pieds.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Does anyone have familiarity with this brand, especially whether the toe straps on sandals are snug or loose by "average" standards?</p> <p>Below is one example.&nbsp;</p> <p>Would love to hear any feedback!&nbsp;&nbsp; </p>
