Style Fan -- yes, I like Everlane's clean lines and emphasis on natural fibers. I've become really reliant on them for my "essentials" and while I sometimes get a dud in terms of fit, their return policy makes returns pretty easy (in the US at least). They work for my body type and style sensibility more often than J Crew/Madewell or Gap/BR.

Suz -- yes, the shorter, classic blazer definitely works for gamine types. My Boden tweed is a similar cut, perhaps a couple inches longer, but I really like the slightly more casual patch pockets on the Everlane one. It looks like an easy "everyday" blazer.

Oh, and I took the plunge and I'm wearing my Boden cords today! Depending on how often I reach for them, I might be able to justify some more cords this season. It's always been a signature fabric for me, and has been frustratingly hard to find the past few years. I feel like I ought to be stocking up! Currently loving the idea of the blazer Roberta showed us above, paired with the matching wide leg crops... How fun would that be?!

Ooh -- thanks for alerting us. I love the idea of cropped classic blazers...my BR one meets that description (it is not "long and lean" as they've labeled it, but their classic cut, which is not shrunken but on the short side) and I wear it more than any of my other jackets. I like the length as working with looser jeans (and many skirts) but I will even wear with skinnies -- I think this works for the more gamine among us. I find a jacket this length less formal and less precious so it works for my lifestyle very well. It's also a bit less dramatic, but that's okay.

I am tempted by Everlane. The colours are so good. Lots of olive green and warm brown. Unfortunately, Boden colours are not that great for me. I like Everlane's simple and minimalistic styling. I might try a cashmere sweater or silk shirt.

I am also swooning over the lavender donegal, but it's only available as crewneck, and their crewneck just doesn't fit me right. And cashmere is too warm for me. But it is literally the most beautiful color I've seen for a sweater.

I think I'm going to try the oversized blazer in the new plaid, because I missed out on the Nordstrom one (returned, considered re-buying at the lower price, and then it sold out). I've tried that blazer in other colors and it seemed a bit too boxy for my frame, but I will give it a try.

abc -- I predict Everlane expands their size range in the near future; with J Crew and Madewell doing it, I bet they won't be far behind...

Digging that academy blazer but two things hold me back (for myself - one, it's wool and two, sizing - not sure I fit in their biggest size)

nemosmom -- swoon is right!!

Roberta -- That J Crew cord blazer looks great! My Boden corduroy review is here: https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....roy-review -- they definitely do nip in at the waist, which is great for me; they're one of the few brands where I don't have to have the waist taken in.

Thanks, Angie! Everlane has released some great new cashmere silhouettes and colours, it's true. The lavender donegal has been really tempting me. Good alternative for those of us who need some lighter colours but don't want to do stark white...

Juniper Green, I will definitely update if I place an order.

oooh, I've been eyeballing the Boden pants, so please let us know what you think. I find Boden pants to be a little tight in the waist for me. If I size up, the rear is a little baggy, if I size down the waist pinches me. Yet I have four pairs of Boden pants, go figure.

I just ordered a J. Crew navy corduroy jacket (below), so maybe that will satisfy my yen. I am not ready to think about cashmere yet, even if it is only 40 degrees outside.

Earth tones, cropped blazers, and cords, oh my. I don't need them at all, but it's going to be hard for me not to at least try these on. I've been predicting a resurgence of shorter tailored blazers to go with loose-fitting jeans and I will be very happy if that takes hold. I really like the olive-y brown, but the checks are pretty great too... The cords look nearly identical in cut to the Boden cords, but finished more casually. The golden brown looks sumptuous.
