Pretend the cowl is a scarf, and wear toppers that you would pair with scarves. But this is more of a "baby" cowl (not overly large, I mean:-) and I think it looks fine as is with the cardigan. The top is newly thrifted and I never know how to layer over cowlnecks. I tried the sweater open but then I had no shape in the midsection at all. Feedback welcomed.
