These aren't perfect, but you get the idea. I realized that worn open it almost has a kimono look. I've had a hard time finding a kimono in the right proportions. This may be a stand in.</p> <p>I tried it open over a tank and it's not quite right, but I think the idea has potential. On a whim, I buttoned the shirt, expecting weirdness, but it kind of works. It reminds me of a style of color block top I've seen. Worth considering for more silhouette options.</p> <p>I'm curious to try this shirt, buttoned, on top of a fitted sheath dress. Please excuse the couch hair and face. As soon as I woke up I ran to the mailbox, ripped open the package and threw it on.</p> <p>First impressions of the shirt: the silk is SO nice. It almost feels like suede. It's heavy and fluid and luscious. This is navy. Pulling it out of the envelope, I thought they sent the wrong color because it looks more like my muted black dress from them. Looking more, I decided it is navy, but be warned, very dark, muted navy.</p> <p>Fit: it's very short! I'm short and this shirt pushes my limits on short. I've been looking for a shorter, flowy, boxy top that doesn't have a high neckline, that I could wear with higher waisted and more voluminous bottoms. I think I got what I wished for here. Now I need to decide if I was right to even want this.</p> <p>I like the shirt with the knit boyfriends. It's ok with the pencil skirt. I don't think I'd wear it with the other bottoms I tried. Most of them didn't even make it past my internal filter to get a picture. I need to try it with toppers, but didn't have the mental bandwidth to earnestly style. Heck, I couldn't even get my shoes on in more than the first picture.</p> <p>Thoughts and opinions welcome! </p>
