It is boxy through the body. Not everyone likes that. Also 2 button low stance so you can wear it buttoned are still very uncommon in blazers. And buttoned blazer over leggings are not everyone's cuppa. I'm surprised how many reviews were written and how positive they were. Somehow I think I'm the only one who really loves this look. Still shocked when others love it too. As the princess of darkness I'm kind of used to walking my path solo. Having company is way cool. I wear a lot of layers and many coats are difficult to wiggle into because the sleeve set is too high and the sleeves are too narrow. The cocoon coat has a dropped sleeve, wide enough for layers but not sloppy. Nice weight and length. Not for arctic blast but winter worthy. Good pocket placement, size and depth. The coat runs very large. A normal human would size down. Even so it will be oversized. I did not. I wanted a coat that would glide on despite the tons of layers. I'm sure the forum would consider it too big. For me I'm happy. Although if they still had the black I would have ordered for comparison. I highly recommend it. I looked long and hard. This style is very difficult to find. I'm happy I purchased. </p> <p>Sterling - you are such a sweetheart!! I'm glad you found it helpful. So hard to buy if there is no feedback. But it is bias in line w what I like. And good for you not falling into the trap of buying something that sounds good but is not what you need. That's my big problem w YLF getting caought up in an imaginary style and buying the wrong pieces that I love on someone else but are not right for me. You are wise and disciplined. I stand in awe!! (They closed the display room for a few weeks last month.) </p> <p>I tried the blazer in a 2 -- they didn't have a 0 in the store. Those are my two usual sizes. The blazer is really interesting. I don't think it's quite right for me. I felt a little lost in it. It's quite rectangular and the cut is impressive -- boxy and boyfriend-like in a way that still accommodates curves, if that makes sense. Definitely a very current look, but I'm not quite used to this silhouette yet.
