They are made-to-order, and the company will do customizations upon request (these are the standard design though). I have a few other pieces from them -- an apron and a button-front midi skirt that I ordered a few years ago, plus gorgeous brown pants and matching top that <b>nemosmom</b> passed along to me (many thanks!!). It takes about 8-10 weeks to receive your order once you've placed it, so you have to be a bit strategic about season. These pants came in August, and I know I will wear them through September and into October, and maybe even further into the fall since I'm around the house so much this year. I also ordered a crinkly plaid scarf (blue/rust/cream) that will look great with this whole capsule. I'll have to do a NPL capsule post at some point. One of my favorite companies to shop with. Hoping to add a couple more pieces next spring. Maybe even a dress!</p> <p>nuancedream -- yes, it's good to have a few new cool-weather pieces to look forward to, otherwise I just get sad about the days getting shorter and swimming season winding down. Burgundy-leaning-toward-brown continues to be my colour of the year! Dark hair/light skin/blue eyes meant that I defaulted to black/white/blue for a long time. Based on the measurements, I had a feeling the XS would be a more shrunken fit than I want these days. Bummer that it's sold out! Everlane knits tend to be good quality. The price is right for what you get. They are not the thickest but they hold up well. I'm going through an "all the cardigans" phase and sitting on my hands not to buy a stack of knitwear this fall! They’ve had some bad press over their labor practices and issues of workplace racism, plus they just didn’t have anything that caught my eye. I’m heartened you see that they’ve partnered with Lindsay Peoples Wagner’s new initiative, the Black in Fashion Council, and seem committed to improving their practices in that regard. The pieces I’m adding are not new fall releases — they’re actually all on sale right now. They tick all the boxes in terms of color and silhouette, so I decided to give them a go. </p> <p>I really like the low-contrast stripe top; I think I’ll be able to wear it with almost every topper I own. Everlane tees are not super thick, so the whites are not quite opaque, but the weight is also really nice for layering. Very soft and true to size.</p> <p>The skirt obviously needs the wrinkles steamed out, but once I do I think it will be a real winner. It is soft, substantial, and has pockets! Looking forward to wearing it with bare legs and sandals til it gets too cold, and then putting some tights underneath it (brown tights otw, but I do have some grey and navy pairs I’ll experiment with as well).</p> <p>The cardi is *such* a pretty color. I opted for a slightly relaxed fit because I think the shoulders and sleeves would have been too tight in the next size down. I’ll only be able to wear it with long sleeves underneath (itch factor for me with all wools), but I feel pretty good about my long-sleeved layering options (several turtlenecks, a henley, and a couple Bretons that will work).</p> <p>Bonus shots of a new pair of linen pants from Etsy (more rust!), and WIW today (jeans and flannel). Sorry for all the silly faces; very chatty DS just out of frame. </p> <p>Wardrobe-wise, I feel perfectly ready for fall, but I’ll gladly take a couple more weeks of summer weather, please and thank you! </p>
