I agree you want it more fitted waist and hip before it goes for the drama. It happens to me often with jeans - my waist is one size up from the hips size. Size 26 would fit hips but I’m wearing 27 to button it comfortably in the photo #1. The second pair fits better but too tight on top. I have several of the Utility barrel jeans, from 3 different years, and they all are quite a slim barrel for lack of a better term, and the ones you showed are not. Plus the regular Utility Barrel has a horizontal seam a few inches below the knee. I couldn't tell on yours whether that seam is actually missing, but it looks like it.</p> <p>I've got both of these on order in blue, so now I'm wondering if Everlane has changed the design of the Utility Barrel. I so hope not! It certainly isn't reflected in the website photos.</p> <p>I wouldn't worry about the name of the Way High jean. Everlane has several fits in the Way High jean, and the style you are wearing is definitely a barrel jean. As long as that's what you wanted, I think it's fine.</p> <p>All that said, I agree with Phoebe. Of the three, I like the Max Mara's the best. They look great on you. The length is fine.
