However, I must say that I saw some Alexandre Birman sandals on there a few weeks ago that cost more on yoox than at Neiman Marcus. I suspect that the name is a play on "coup d'etat." I had never heard of them before. Are fabbers aware of them? There are quite a few different ones on yoox, and I find a number of them attractive -- basically because they also look to be soft and comfortable, and a little off-center. The ones I got certainly comfy and the made-in-Italy feel is nice, but I am afraid they may be well past their prime style-wise. These are sorta black, but they have a bronze thing going on, related to the perforations in the leather. I usually gravitate to pointed toes and blockier (less cuban) heels. But these look to me like a nice little pair of run-to-the-supermarket shoes to wear with black jeans. P.s., I am almost 70. What say you? </p>
