Very nice! I have one and I can lace it up tight on my own using those instructions. It takes a bit of practice but is doable the wall hook works the same way, you loosen the loop, put it over the hook and pull it tight with your body, hold the next loop and switch.

It laces up the back, but after we got it adjusted to the correct fit from the lacing, I couldn't get the front hook closures in front to work -- the hook closures were on a stiff piece of boning which lies very straight -- it works fine once that is against my breastbone (between the girls), but there was no way to keep one hook closed while closing another one -- it would just pop open. I worked up a sweat laughing and trying to make it work, before I finally gave up.

Ceit, that link is actually helpful. I am quite flexible when it comes to reaching behind me, I could probably make it work that way, but never as tight as the SA got it. Maybe I should have tried that!

Janet, women who couldn't afford maids used to mount lacing hooks on the wall -- maybe try that? :)

Or some tips here might be useful?

Yes, I've actually strained a muscle in my shoulder trying to zip up a dress in the fitting room. Need more yoga.

Only to realize that you cannot actually put it on without help from another person? LOL
Back before the holidays, I tried on a fantastic corset at Nordstrom, but it really requires assistance. And since it would be fun to surprise my husband by wearing it (he loves corsets), I guess him helping would ruin the surprise. The SA and I were laughing about it. Too bad because, dang, that thing makes my waist TINY -- I almost look Photoshopped. I took a pic, but if I posted it, I'd have to hide it pretty quick. Maybe I should just give hubs the picture rather than buy the corset.
