Well done, Keturah!

Bras and camis are Basics, so take that off the Essentials list.

Specify the colours of the neutral tops and tees, and you are well on your way.

I agree with Rachylou that Angie would refer to bras and camisoles as basics rather than essentials. With a little one. you need clothes that are machine washable. Jeans and tees or blouses sound right. You might look for a blazer or easy jscket that can dress up that jeans outfit when needed. Scarves can help too.
Try second hand, brick and mortar or on line, to stretch your clothing budget and usually get better quality. But inspect carefully as they may not be returnable. Look at the cleaning instructions and try on. If you don't love it, don't buy it. Something else always comes along
You might try a pair of fashion sneakers as a stable shoe for everyday wear. Something floral or in a pretty color.

I’m guessing bras and camisoles are basics, necessary basics as opposed to style essentials in the YLF wardrobe taxonomy... which I always struggle with.

And speaking of me struggling ... would you say you want tees in your neutral colours, like a navy tee?

I think you have a good list of essentials going .
I like your idea of adding navy as a more primary color in your wardrobe and agree it can look fresh . That would be my move if I was inclined to use less black. I’m not quite there yet . I have just added more white:)
Brown doesn’t appeal to me either , I don’t wear it well at all .

I’m posting from my phone currently so will pop back later with finds or photos. But for now, I’ll make a list of essentials and questions.

Essentials:
~Bras with good lift and cup support but comfy bands (I hate my ribs being held down when so breathe due to a super snug bra band!)
~Camisoles
~Tees or everyday blouses, something I can throw on when I need an easy outfit, or pair with statement pieces
~New jeans that fit well
~Navy and black pants, curvy cut but very 50s/60s in style
~Winter boots, flexible sole if possible; must be very warm! Thinking of Columbia’s Minx II. Amazon sold out of my size (women’s 11) in several colors, which is frustrating! But I will keep looking, and maybe try buying closer to spring when things go on sale.
~ballet flats. Not warm enough for winter. But for spring and summer, good. I need some kind of comfy flat to wear daily that doesn’t have a boho vibe.

Style Moniker
Sensual Romantic. I find myself missing Bohemian occasionally. But I am really loving the new style moniker and the direction it’s taking me. I feel more beautiful, more womanly, more joyful.

Cost
Low end. Money has been especially tight and while I’ve begun selling handknit items, I can only knit so much and so fast. I have decided to trust all my needs are met and do what I can with what I have. So I’ve been looking at less expensive stores, Poshmark, etc. The extra I have, I’ve been saving to buy yarn to knit myself a few sweaters.

Color.
I’m really leaning towards doing more navy. It’s a color I love, especially when paired with jewel tones and brights. Black is always good on me, but I just get tired of it. Brown has never really appealed to me, aside from animal print or a good camel trench coat. Navy feels fresh, especially if it’s a brighter navy.
