Great for layering if you need to, and I just adore tweed. The waist band gives the illusion of waist definition, and even though having it taken in at the waist would look best, the band makes it look better than it would if it were just plain, kwim? It's a beautiful casual coat, and I don't think any alterations are in order. I really like this coat. I think it's a little roomy, but that can be a good thing if you need to layer. I love the hood, and it has a certain elegance to it, in it's simplicity.</p> <p>I think the "killer" instinct is missing because your showcasing just the coat. If you add a colorful scarf, and maybe a fun little hat, the coat will be a great canvas on which to showcase the rest of your outfit.</p> <p>The location of the waistband does not bother me at all. From the side view, it shows a nice silhouette of your figure.
