I also think the skinny jeans are a better option. The leggings have a very young look to me - where as the skinny jeans seem just more polished I guess. The color palette is wonderful on you and I love the last outfit!

I don't really see a problem with anyone wearing leggings, as long as the top worn is as long as atleast 4" above the knee and is thick and opaque- leggings often give a streamlined sillhouette and make one appear slimmer than they are! Especially with dresses and with boots on.

With sweater dresses that are of a tunic length, skinny jeans would be a better option as they offer more coverage especially when worn with flats and less coverage providing footwear. I like #1, #3 and #4 of your photographs.

I see more fabric which tells me that you are wearing jeans but I think both outfits are super cute. I especially love the floral tunic. Milk chocolate with light blue and a touch of yellow is SO cute! I just love how the denim picks up the blue and adds another layer of texture. I love it.

I adore both looks and not ashamed to tell you I will be attempting to recreate both

I truly see no huge difference in leggings or the jeans. Both provide the same silhouette. I would imagine feeling more "secure" in jeans -- less exposed, more fabric. The only issue I could see with the leggings is if they were sheer in some places but I don't see that at all in the pictures. Perhaps it's the shape, color, and line created that matters most to me. You look adorable!

This colour palette suits you to a tee!

Personally, I think that skinny jeans are always a better option and vote those.

If there is any question in your mind at all, I'd go for the skinny jeans. It's hard to say when we can't see the outfit in motion (bending over from the back side, etc.). Both of these outfits look great with the skinnies. How nice that you have both!

I like the leggings better in outfit 1 and the jeans better in outfit 2. That said, the leggings aren't bad in 2. You look lovely in leggings and style them well. I say carry on if you like them and the "other forum" can go suck a lemon

I like both looks, equally! Pic 3 is my favourite. I also like the chocolate skinnies with the booties.

I do like both looks better with the skinny jeans. I prefer #4 over #3 because of the length of the sweater - I think that length sweater looks better with skinnies. The top in #1is long and I think it looks fine with leggings; in fact, I wore something similar to that two weekends ago!
"Not capable of wearing them?" Bah Humbug! I love leggings and wear them all winter with skirts, sweater dresses, and extra long sweaters!

so, I had been getting criticism on another forum for wearing leggings and told that not many women are capable of wearing them....

After getting my new brown skinny jeans I decided to recreate two outfits I had previously worn with brown leggings.

The first one, I changed out the boots for booties and added a scarf. This looks better for my petite height because of the longer leg line...

For the second one I decided not to make any changes. Maybe it's just me,but I don"t see such a stark difference between the two that warranted the strong and adamant opinions that I had received.

Is it just me or do you see a huge difference?
