Thanks Joy! I'll check Dillards. We have one of those. I also discovered a small boutique that claims to carry EF. My mom's a seamstress so tailoring is no problem.

I've had lots of Eileen Fisher pieces and the sizing is all over the place. When I was a size 8-10, I had everything from XS to XL. Now I wear a 2-4, (30D and size 27 in jeans) and fit best in her PP (Petite Petite, or her smallest size) except that pants are too short. The exception is cotton tee shirts which do not run large but more true to size. I also have some Small and XS that fit but other things in those sizes are way too big. Her linen shrinks a little when washed. Some pieces are simply cut and not difficult to have altered. I like her fabrics and that the clothing is made in the USA.
Look at the better department stores. I don't think Macy's carries EF, but Dillards does (not petite sizes) and so does Nordstroms. Over the weekend I thrifted an EF denim blue colored linen dress at the Goodwill. With machine washing and drying, the size S fit me well.

Thanks Ironkurten. So, what is a 4/6 in non-Eileen Fisher clothing? Is that still an XS/PS? I don't know why I"m finding this so confusing!

I haven't seen any Eileen Fisher locally that I've noticed. But I'll try them on should I run across any. Good idea that totally escaped me, lol.

Hello!

I'll tell you what I've told some other members, hope it helps.

IMO, EF doesn't run any "bigger" than a traditional brand, they simply cut for a woman's body and go up to larger sizes. I've been wearing their pieces for ten years, and they recently changed some of their items from PP, PS, XS, S etc. to numbers. To figure it all out, I suggest trying on some pieces at full price. If that's not possible, here’s the link to their size chart on their site:
http://www.eileenfisher.com/Ei.....cale=en_US

As an example, I am a size 4/6 and 36B, and I wear a PS, XS, or a 4 in their pieces, depending – although in some jackets I prefer a S.

Hope this helps a little!

I'm loving Eileen Fisher designs and of course her stuff fits right in with my love affair with linen so I'd like to look into getting some pieces. I read her stuff runs big. How big? Anyone know? Did you have to size down one or two sizes?
