I'm a slow adopter too so a bit afraid to spend that much. I don't see any mid section issues on <i>you</i> but I do think this style of pant isn't terribly flattering on anyone's mid section so maybe it isn't as flattering as you're used to. You could wear them on the hip or a long top to hide it. You sound like me, wanting to try the new look but unsure. You could do what I am planning to do. Try many different slouchy track pants on. Others have paired them successfully with trendy sneakers and metallic shoes.&nbsp;&nbsp;I am enjoying the contrast with dressier shoes. I love them with a clutch in an accent color. These are the Eileen Fisher cuffed silk pants in XS (they run big...I'm usually a S). &nbsp;They&nbsp;look ok-ish with a drapey long top, but with a banded top/tucked look (photos #7-8)...not so much. &nbsp;It really doesn't flatter my midsection, and I feel dumpy with so much bunching there. &nbsp;</p> <p>The fit is good, but&nbsp;I'm not sure. &nbsp;Maybe it's the elastic waist. &nbsp;I've learned that with new silhouettes/trends the key is find a version that really works for you and your style/shape. &nbsp;I resisted midi skirts at first, but when I found my VC midi skirt I was sold.</p> <p>Opinions? &nbsp;They ain't cheap, so I want to be certain I'll actually wear them! </p>
