I've had the same issue as many items this year were offered only in navy. One pair of pants had black faux leather waistband which I thought helped.<br />Another thing you can consider is to add a touch of black elsewhere with accessories. I like solid navy and black together, but print navy with black seems less intentional and more clueless, to me at least. Perhaps another way to look at navy pants is to think about what you would wear with blue denim and see if those things might go.
