Haha! Jackie, I'm definitely getting the slouchies! I don't know if they will go on sale for NAS though... As for these slim fits - 99% of pants are extremely uncomfortable on me and even though you lovely ladies say I look fab, I don't feel fab so I'm willing to invest in pants that will not pinch my belly and make me gasp for air (lol, seriously). I'm likely giving up jeans for these pants they are dressier anyway, which I like.

And Shannon started the EF love!

Jeez MsKatieKat I might give these and the slouchy ones a try come fall....you are tempting me with all this EF talk! Ha! We'll see if I order anything from NAS. If not, might visit the EF store in the fall

Thank you for the insight, Grey Rainbow! So we pretty much are nearly the same size - just different body types.

Love that these pants are comfy and easy to care for! This is partially why I'm sold - so far.

I have several pairs of these pants. I'm a pear, with thicker thighs and calves. And a thickening mid-life waistline! I wear S for all EF tops, coats, jackets. Also S in all slouchy bottoms like the harem (all versions), and all skirts. In EF numerical sizes, I take a 10 for bottoms. Since these pants have a slim leg, I need a M. The waist is loose on me in M, but the legs have a nice slim line. On me, S fits at the waist but then the legs are a little too legging-like. I've been telling myself I'll get the M tailored at the waist, but they are just so comfortable when they're a little loose!

I've worn them on long flights and put them through all sorts of paces: the knees and rear don't sag. One tip: machine wash cold, hang to dry. If they come near a dryer they will shrink. Also, coming out of the washer they will look like they've grown a few sizes. Don't worry, they will magically return to their like-new shape and size once dry!

ETA worth the cost for me, a wardrobe workhorse, I wear them (black and graphite) twice a week or more 6 months of the year. They are as comfortable as sweats or pjs.

Susie, thank you! This is really helpful! I was debating on getting a S because the slouchy knits fit me well in a S - but again, those are slouchy. Other EF pants, I'm a 10 - so I guess I should go for a M since these pants are not slouchy? I'm just concerned about it bagging in the bum and knee area. I'll probably have to consider an (online) place with a good return policy for Canadians.

I would say that these run a bit large compared to other brands but not as large as some EF pieces. I could wear the medium but it was tight, the large is a comfortable fit. Generally, when pants fit me in the waist they are baggy in the leg but these work for me. The waist is very comfortable and they don't bag out.

I have other pull on styles from EF including the slouchy knit, the faux wrap and the cropped harem and I have a large in all of them. It's a slouchy roomy fit but not sloppy. I generally wear a 14 in pants. I don't think I've ever tried the jeans so I can't compare those.

Oh and a bonus for me is that these are full length on me!

Has anyone tried this pant before?
http://www.eileenfisher.com/Ei.....cale=en_US

How is the fit? I especially want to hear more from the apple/apple-tendency types but I'd still love to hear what other ladies think! I've been reading reviews and I get the impression the fit is good. I need to accommodate for my incredibly fussy waistline. Some of you may know that I have always had severe problems fitting the waistline of the pants/jeans. Because I have a minimal wardrobe, I'm no longer satisficing!

Questions for you:
1. Does it run large, small or true to size?
2. (If you are an apple-type) how is the fit on the waist? Does it dig?
3. How are the knees? Does it sag/bag?
4. Does the bum area get saggy?
5. General comfort level: is it comfortable enough for you?
6. Will these pants be worth the investment?

Thanks!! :)

ETA: EF jeans don't fit me (just like 99% of pants out there that are not slouchy and elastic waist). An 8 is too tight and a 10 is too loose on the waist and crotch. If the fit is similar to the jeans, let me know.
