I'm also a soft classic. My solution was a blush-colored moto jacket in a very soft fabric. It feels right for my style, and it must be working, because I get compliments whenever I wear it!

What do you like to wear now that seems edgy to you?
What items have you used to try to create edge that haven't felt right?
Seems like comparing those two sets could help home in on your sweet spot.

How about edgy pieces in soft colors.? Like a blush moto jacket or white stompy boots or colored, not black leather?

I think kkards has a good idea. Anything leather (or faux leather) would immediately read edgy, even if in a classic style.

Maybe do more with makeup? Use a little bit darker eye makeup? It wouldn't have to be super heavy, but using a bit of a darker eye pencil and smudging it out might help. Or maybe a darker lip?

I think the thing to do is look for edgy pieces with the kind of tailoring and construction recommended for soft classic (https://www.google.com/amp/s/k.....ewing/amp/).

I think kkards first pic, the black leather jacket, is a pretty good example. It’s black leather but it has drape...

We all have things that resonate with our personal style. I took the Kibbe test and am scratching me head. You may want to check out Dressing Your Truth (there's a quiz there, too). This program resonates with *me* personally and have been very happy with it for 5 yrs. now. It enables me to define my style and work with (or not) current trends.

I also think that an unexpected element can be really cool ... for example, a soft classic outfit with a moto jacket over it, or a very pretty dress in a moody dark palette ...

It depends what your definition of edgy is, but, for example, here are a few things in my closet that have a bit of an edge but also fit with my soft classic sensibility.

After taking Kibbe's test nearly 10 times, I determined that I'm a soft classic. Only gripe is that it's pretty difficult to find something soft classic, but bordering on edgy, and fits ingenue essence ‍♀️ Do any of you guys have suggestions? Normally I'd just pick out whatever, but now that I know why things seem to feel/look wrong on me, it makes me even more hyper aware.
