The trench came home with me, and when I have some time and it’s not 95 degrees, I’ll do a little try-on sesh. </p> <p>I also brought home this long blazer from the sale rack. It doesn’t button perfectly at the hip, but I don’t wear these types of jackets buttoned anyway. It doesn’t have an oversized vibe on my body but the shoulder seems to fit nicely and I like a long blazer/jacket in recent years — however, I haven’t found much I love because most options seem to be double-breasted and/or low stance. I’ll do a little test styling with this before committing to it, too. It's different from your norm, but I think it works with your coloring and would be great with all the denim and blues in your wardrobe. But this strikes me as very neutral. The fact that the color is so deep as to almost appear brown, and the inclusion of the black portions, makes me think this isn’t such a leap, color-wise. Can you think of a reason why it wouldn’t work with my usual blue denim, or with black or even grey jeans, and black boots? It seems the color of the top underneath is less critical because it would be covered by the coat. I’m thinking that this coat would work with my neutral tops, as well as burgundy, cobalt, and maybe even teal? I do want to look at it with my scarves because scarves would be the most likely visible accompaniment. </p> <p>Below are some examples from my wardrobe that I would try with it. I'm not getting "military green" on my screen, though, but more of an espresso shade. One reason I like a very dark olive green is that it is a better complement to my graying cool-dark-brown hair than is black or brown. However, I am trying on the trench. Only available here in small sizes and a single 8. This is the 8 on me. I suspect I could take a 10 for more ease in the chest, but the shoulder fit and hip in this is fine. I wouldn’t wear anything bulky under it. I’d want to change out the buttons — I don’t love the logo stamped on them. What do we think of this color on me? I do not *need* another coat but I love the vibe. I’m unsure about the color. If it were grey or even chocolate brown it would be easier. </p> <p>I also really like the floral backpack. Again, not a need but really fun and well made for a very reasonable price point.</p> <p>Otherwise there’s not a lot to share. Rails shirts are a bust — literally. Fit is good everywhere else but pulls and gapes at the bust. </p> <p>Oh, there’s a Vero Moda floral skirt in BP that works surprisingly well on me. Good for wearing with a black tee for summer. I’ll see if I can find the Find. </p>
