I have decent luck with a couple of Ecco styles -- the Soft 7 and Sartorelle oxford both work reasonably well for me. Other styles have been a total fail. Several years ago I bought a pair that were probably the least comfortable runners I had ever had.&nbsp;</p> <p>It's good to know they don't soften much. The price was super cheep but I didn't like the fit/material and the feel on my feet of that model and decided to pass. Price is excellent. Colour (kind of a citron/lemon yellow) is good. And the arch support is amazing.</p> <p>My question though, is long term experience with the shoe. I see a few reviews online that say it is not comfortable across the forefoot and I get a hint of that. The toe box is quite high -- which is good for me. But that also means there's quite a bit of leather over the toes that isn't actually filled with foot, if that makes sense. The width isn't bad for me -- the shape jogs out just where my foot needs the width.&nbsp;</p> <p>If you've worn this shoe, I'd be interested to hear if the leather softens up and what your overall comfort experience have been.</p> <p>At this price this is a pretty low risk way to try a new style, but since they're still not free, any other information I can glean will help me decide if this is an experiment I want to try. :-)</p> <p>Thanks to anyone who can comment!! </p>
