<p>Thank you very much for all of your help; the seller gave me a total refund since the sweater was not as described.

<p>As far as I know, ebay is super buyer friendly, almost to a fault. I agree with Cindy above, contact the seller first. If that doesn't work, escalate to ebay.

<p>Vildy is right. Step one is to contact the seller and attempt to resolve the issue there. If that doesn't work, escalate to the next level, which is to bring Ebay into it. When all else fails, PayPal is really good about stuff like this; I've had to file several disputes with PayPal and they've always been extremely helpful.

<div>Contact the seller first.<br /></div><div><br /></div><div>My experience is that you should use the magic words Not As Described.&nbsp; <br /></div><div>That should earn you a return with full refund, including your original shipping and a free ship back.&nbsp; Some sellers won't want to be charged with this offense and may just refund your total purchase and tell you to keep or donate the item.&nbsp; <br /></div><div><br /></div><div>If you need to open a return with eBay/Paypal, (because seller is stubborn or wants to argue with you) doesn't hurt to take a picture(s) of the item in good daylight showing the true color and upload that with your return request to eBay, where it indicates you can.</div><div><br /></div><div>ETA: some listings will say the seller doesn't accept returns.&nbsp; Doesn't matter. This is deceptive and you'll get your money back anyway. <br /></div></p>

<p>I think both eBay and PayPal have some kind of buyer protection thing in place to ensure that people get what they pay for. If the seller doesn't come through for you, I would contact both eBay and PayPal and see what can be done.

<p>I have only purchased a few things on eBay and always had satisfactory experiences. &nbsp; However I just purchased a sweater that was listed as green but when I received it...def. turquoise. &nbsp;I have emailed the seller about returning it...but just in case she refuses to do that...what are my options? &nbsp;I paid through PayPal which is linked to my Visa. &nbsp;Thank you in advance.
