Too roomy on top and the waist was too low for me. I can afford it, but it would mean buying no other clothing this year. And I plan to wear the coat I buy for some winters to come, so it has to be the right one. As a student I can't afford to spend that kind of money on an interim solution. And I'd prefer European sites, yes. Many coats this year in the UK also seem to have very narrow arm holes which added to trying to fit my larger hips and smaller waist has made coat shopping veeeery depressing!!!!<br /> I stumbled across the following coat when not looking, I was in an outdoors shop with BF and I got bored trailing round after him so wandered off mooching. </p> <p>Before you open the following link it's expensive, double my budget, but it's a perfect fit, so I've decided to do without the knee high boots I was hoping to get. The main problem is finding a coat that is long enough and still correctly on top and in the hips. I want a coat that is over the knee and kind of fit and flare, tailored on top so that you can see my waist, but it has to fit my hips. And I need something warm, a wool coat isn't warm enough. Mosts coats I've tried so far were puffers and I don't really like the look of them, but other warm coats that are longer are even harder to find. Maybe I should just buy a short one and invest in some skinnies I don't feel too self-conscious in to tuck into my winter boots...</p> <p>Rachylou, it was the fit yes.
