Thank you all for the kind comments!

Thanks for the hat love ... That particular friend has an excellent sense of humor and mischief, this is not the first overthinker item she's left on my doorstep for me lol!

Suz, I had partial success ... The short sleeve came out the best, with the long sleeve coming out almost perfect, with the exception of the neck seam, which is slightly off, but not so much so that I'm worried about it. (Both cotton) I tried to do a linen shirt that has sunscreen stains, and that was not as successful; the thread must be 100% synthetic as it didn't take a drop of the dye, so now it has weird white seams. I'm going to try overdying with synthetics dye and see if it comes out even or just compounds the issue!

I took a risk on a cashmere sweater as well; that was with navy dye. It came out pretty good ... Not perfect at some of the seams but again, nothing to put me off wearing it, not noticeable unless you're looking for it.

Each batch needed a different type of dye; it's been fun learning about it!

Your dyed pieces came out so well--beautiful job!--and they look great on you. All these outfits look very in keeping with your style, elegant, streamlined, and polished. The hat is super fun and gave me a laugh!

Wow, I am so impressed that you have jumped on the dyeing bandwagon! Brilliant. Did everything you tried turn out? I really like the sweater in 6.

You're looking fab in all of these but my faves are (predictably!) 4 and 10. Also, fun hat! And fun friend for suggesting it.

These are my winter colours minus the off-white, so I approve :). I particularly like how the sweater turned out in 6. Good job injecting new life into lackluster pieces! Outfit 9 is sharp and edgy - the booties take it to the next level along with the jacket.

Hi Friends, I've been lurking more than participating lately but the style journey continues! At the behest of my daughter and cousin, I've been playing with an earth-inspired palette this spring - perfect given the fall-like weather!

Channeling my inner Brooklyn, I dyed a few lack-lustre pieces a milky chocolate brown, added a dark brown purse and belt, and pulled out the pieces that feel earthier to me in my wardrobe - burgundies, greens, navy (borderline I know, but a good black alternative) beiges/off whites, and browns. Add in a true red for fun (reads brighter in the photos, I think it's a true pure red irl).

A different approach for me and I'm enjoying it this spring!

Thanks for looking! Are you playing new-to-you colours or other elements this spring?

1 - tan & burgundy
2/3 - earthy-ish tones plus a pop
4 - burgundy and off white and brown
5 - column of navy
6 - dyed sweater (formerly soft white)
7 - one of my friends said she saw this hat and knew i had to have it lol
8 - pop of red
9 - more navy
10 - camel, burgundy, and off white
11 - a local "field of gold" (memory garden) - just because it was so pretty!
12 - the other dyed piece - formerly a lackluster light tan. these pants need to be slightly hemmed but I've been too lazy! chocolate accents.
