I am ok with earth tones, they’re not my personal favorite, but I do dabble from time to time! I remember in the early noughties I had a penchant for chocolate brown, and these days I occasionally wear light tan/beige and, more regularly, cream/off white. I am eager to see the lime/natural dress on you (what a unique color combo that you don't see very often!), and the pants look awesome. I have been incorporating earth tones (e.g., browns, cinnamon, caramel, camel, olive) into my wardrobe while they are readily available and loving it! I favor muddy colors across the board, so earthy colors fit in well. I also love utility and cargo styles, so I am happy about that too! I know I'm a broken record about this :), but I shop mostly online/ consignment so there is always a range of colors (despite what is trendy at the moment), which is one of the things I really appreciate about this type of shopping. It’s also simply not correct (as a matter of style expertise) - seeing a few people in a limited environment wearing ill-fitting pants, doesn’t make them a bad choice for everyone who doesn’t fit some narrow ideal. I do find these types of views about other women’s bodies and clothing to be so dated and tone deaf that I usually just block them out (I don’t care about how people feel about their own bodies, that’s not my business). Its just not my colour palette, I'm with others who prefer the cool mid tones. Tried a few full length cargo styled pants at Simons but they just didn’t feel right on me. I did manage to buy a really nice pair of baggy/wider leg jeans in a great dark wash at Uniqlo. I love them, I sized down for a more refined and streamlined fit. However, in my F/W wardrobe, I do have quite a large capsule of plum-colored items across all categories, which I enjoy wearing. In the summer, as well as my earth tones, I also wear other colors that don't (or rarely) figure into my F/W wardrobe, like lavender, mid-toned blues, chartreuse and optic white. I wear bright orange across all seasons. At least, not one that's a deep & warm enough colour with a not too low neckline... I'm also still on the hunt for *lightweight* cargo joggers *without* a drawstring (i.e. elasticated waistband). I've toyed with adding a maxi cargo skirt in a not stiff fabric, but don't know whether that will soon become passé... Maybe once March is well underway I'll have more luck with these items?
