If I do at least one needs to be minimal, otherwise the eye does not know where to look. I like to wear a couple of small dainty necklaces all the time and often add a more statementy necklace or scarf. Or earrings and about 3 bracelets. A chunky necklace and several bracelets keep my baby granddaughter amused while she may try to grab and pull earrings. I tend to wear bracelets more in warm weather with sleeveless tops so more arm and no coat or jacket to interfere with the bracelets. Also, a necklace can feel too warm on a hot humid day, so earrings and maybe bracelets in summer,<br /> But, in warm weather I am more likely to wear an open neckline that needs a necklace to fill in. Today I wore simple shaped dangly earrings and a black bead necklace on top of a black top, no bracelets. I did carry a metallic bag and wore metallic flats, but the outfit was a simple column of black silk with a grey and black patterned linen jacket. The turquoise necklace (not made by me) was the exception, cause the little bronze spacers. My reasoning for the extra bling today was: it is super hot so I’m wearing a very simple dress to go to dinner at a friend’s house. At her house I will remove shoes and bag at the door, and withiut those accessories I thought I might look like I’m just wearing a nightdress! Hopefully the necklace will make the simple dress look more polished.</p> <p>I do think it helps to wear a longer necklace, if one is also wearing bigger earrings. My clothes mix and match harmoniously, but need to do same with jewelry. It works, clothes wise, when i have a simple classic piece (like a pencil skirt) for grounding then the rest flashier. I don't want to be plain, nor chaotic.<br /> So....based on that, maybe i should have formulas somehow: metal vs gemstone/bead/crystal, solid v openwork/filigree, ? Capsules of metals? Does contrast level change potential scale? If my hair is up does that affect potential scale?<br /> Re other accessories:<br /> Scarves i wear in colder weather more, as even thin ones are too much in our humidity. One of my offices is cold though, so they are coming out more. But then i go outside, take them off and feel drab.<br /> Rings-i wear my wedding band only. I have a copper ring i like, but its big on me so it doesn't get worn much.<br /> Specs-i wear for driving only, aside from sunnies, which i wear when outside. Color, metal, leather, etc. </p> <p>Today I am wearing a silver toned watch with a round face, with two thin silver bangles on the same wrist. One of the bangles has small silver charms hanging down. On my other hand I am wearing a silver and white round pearl ring. My necklace is a thin silver chain with a small primarily white bead and a small crystal bead hanging down. My earrings are silver studs. I can only wear dangly earrings if my top has no collar and find that dangly earrings with a necklace is too much ON ME. I would consider studs + bracelet + necklace, however. I almost always wear large studs and a watch. Bracelets go on the other hand. Two types of jewellery is my personal rule. Usually earrings and a watch, and either a bracelet or a ring. And I NEVER match any of this (as in , sets) &nbsp;I'm a huge scarf collector and wear them all the time in winter. &nbsp;I've started wearing my summer weight ones just this year in my freezing air-conditioned place of work.
